1. who is responsible
The controller for this website, the aysound plugins and YER is
Ayhan Dogan (aysound)
Zwergstr. 1
89407 Dillingen a.d. Donau
Germany
Data protection enquiries: info@aysound.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer; we are not required to.
2. the short version
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers.
- Downloads require no account and no registration.
- The plugins run entirely on your computer. They collect nothing and transmit nothing. The one exception is YER’s update check; section 4 says what it does and how to switch it off.
- Buying YER is the one place where data is unavoidable: an e-mail address, a payment and an order record. Section 5 lists it item by item.
3. website and server logs
This site is served from a server in Germany, operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, as our processor. When you visit, the web server processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser user agent, referrer) in its log files. That is technically necessary to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse — the legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. From these logs we derive aggregated, anonymous access counts; no profiles, no cookies, no individual tracking. The logs themselves are deleted routinely.
4. the plugins
The aysound plugins and YER process audio locally in your DAW. They collect, store and transmit no personal data. There is no telemetry, no online activation and no hidden network traffic. Your YER licence key is checked on your own computer and never leaves it. Settings and presets are stored locally. Diagnostic files, if any, are written only to your machine and leave it only if you send them to us yourself.
One exception, and only one: YER checks for updates. While its window is open it fetches aysound.com/downloads/versions.json at most once a day to see whether a newer version exists. The request carries nothing about you beyond what any browser sends — our web server sees it and your IP address in its ordinary log, which is covered by section 3 above — and the setting menu switches the check off for good. The eleven free plugins make no connection at all.
5. buying YER
An order needs data, and here is all of it.
- Payment — Stripe. The payment page is hosted by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin, Ireland. You enter your e-mail address and payment details there; card details go to Stripe and never to us. Stripe acts partly as our processor and partly as its own controller for payment processing and fraud prevention; its privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
- Licence service — api.aysound.com. After a successful payment, Stripe notifies our licence service, which generates your key and stores the order: e-mail address, Stripe session and payment identifiers, product, price, time of purchase and the licence key itself.
- Sending the mail — ALL-INKL. The purchase e-mail is sent through the mail servers of ALL-INKL.COM — Neue Medien Münnich GmbH, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, as our processor. ALL-INKL sees your e-mail address and the content of that message; those servers stand in Germany.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performing the contract you entered into. For the storage of invoice-relevant records, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR together with the retention duties of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and Fiscal Code (AO).
Retention: the order record — e-mail address, licence key, Stripe session and payment identifiers, product, price and time of purchase — is kept for as long as your licence is valid, so that we can send your key again if you lose it. The invoice-relevant records are kept beyond that for the statutory period of ten years, counted from the end of the year of the purchase (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB). If you ask us to delete your key earlier, we do, and we will then no longer be able to send it again.
Transfers outside the EU: hosting and mail delivery both happen in Germany. Stripe alone may involve service providers outside the European Economic Area; those transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. contact by e-mail
info@aysound.com is our only address — there is no support@ and no privacy@. If you write to us, we use your address and the content of your message solely to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed and no retention period applies. Your data is never sold and never shared for marketing.
7. your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, an e-mail to info@aysound.com is enough.
8. changes
If the way this site, the plugins or the purchase handle data ever changes, we update this page first. The date at the top always tells you the current version.
