Licence agreement for the eleven free plugins · version of 31 August 2026

This agreement covers the eleven FREE plugins only. Section 1 lists them by name, and everything in here — the free-of-charge licence, “no licence file”, “no online activation” — is written for those eleven. YER is a paid product and has its own agreement: YER EULA.

1. the agreement

This end user licence agreement (the “Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you — the individual or legal entity installing or using the software — and Ayhan Dogan, trading as aysound, Zwergstr. 1, 89407 Dillingen a.d. Donau, Germany, info@aysound.com (“aysound”, “we”, “us”). It governs your use of the eleven free aysound plugins — currently aylimiter, aycompressor, ayeq, aydeesser, aygate, ayclipper, aysaturator, aywidth, aygain, aydelay and ayverb — together with the suite installer, the individual plugin archives, the bundled factory presets, and any updates we make available (together, the “Software”).

By downloading, installing, copying or otherwise using the Software you confirm that you have read this Agreement, that you understand it, and that you agree to be bound by it. If you do not agree with any part of it, do not install the Software and delete any copies you already have. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it, and “you” means that company.

2. licence, permitted use and restrictions

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, aysound grants you a free-of-charge, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to install and use the Software on any number of computers you own or control. The licence covers private and commercial use without distinction: hobby projects, client work, commercial releases, film and game scores, broadcasts, streams, live performances and any other lawful audio production — with no royalties, no licence fees and no obligation to credit us (though credits are always appreciated).

Everything you create with the Software belongs entirely to you. Audio processed through it — recordings, mixes, masters, stems, bounces — is your work, and this Agreement gives us no rights in it. Presets you make are yours; share them freely, including commercially.

You may keep backup copies of the installers for your own archive and reinstall the Software on replacement machines at any time. In a studio, school or company the Software may be installed on shared machines used by several people, as long as each person's use complies with this Agreement.

You may not:

sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise charge money or other consideration for the Software itself, in whole or in part;
redistribute the installers, plugin binaries or factory presets publicly — on download portals, file-sharing platforms or bundled with other products — without our prior written permission. To point others to the Software, link to our download page instead, so everyone gets the current, unmodified version;
modify, adapt, translate, decompile, disassemble or reverse-engineer the Software, or create derivative works from it, except where a mandatory law expressly permits it;
remove, obscure or alter copyright notices, trademarks, version information or other proprietary markings in the Software;
present the Software, the aysound name or the aysound wordmark as your own work, or use them so as to suggest an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist;
use the Software to build a competing product by systematically copying its user interface, its signal-processing behaviour or its preset content.

Journalists, reviewers and content creators are welcome to show the Software in articles, videos and streams; screenshots and screen recordings are expressly permitted for that purpose. Official material is on our press page.

3. installations, updates and support

The Software needs no account, no online activation, no licence file and no dongle. It does not limit machines or instances, and it never connects to the internet: no telemetry, no usage tracking, no phone-home of any kind. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.

We may release updates at our discretion. They appear on the download page and are documented in the changelog; installing an update over an existing installation keeps your presets and settings. Unless an update comes with its own terms, this Agreement applies to it. We are under no obligation to provide updates, new features or continued compatibility with any particular system or host, although we care about all of these.

Support is provided as a goodwill service by e-mail at info@aysound.com. We aim to answer within one to two working days, but response times are not guaranteed and support is not a contractual entitlement. Common questions are answered in the support section.

4. price and distribution

These eleven plugins are provided completely free of charge. There is no trial period, no feature limitation, no watermark and no obligation — now or later — to pay, donate, register or subscribe in order to keep using them. YER, our paid product, changes nothing about that: the free licence for the Software you have downloaded stays as it is.

The only official source for the Software is aysound.com. Copies from other sources may be outdated or tampered with; we can vouch only for files whose SHA-256 checksums match those published on our download page. This Agreement grants no rights to third parties who distribute the Software in breach of section 2.

5. no warranty; liability

The Software is provided as is and free of charge, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, compatible with every system, host or workflow, or that defects will be corrected. Keep backups of your projects and data; audio software runs in complex host environments, and you use it at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damage — lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, corrupted sessions, missed deadlines or business interruption — arising from the Software or this Agreement. Because the Software is free of charge, our total liability is in any event limited to what you paid for it, which is nothing, except where such a limitation is not permitted by law.

Nothing here excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under mandatory product liability law, or any other liability that cannot be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs that arise from your use of the Software in breach of this Agreement or of applicable law.

6. term, termination and miscellaneous

This Agreement takes effect when you first download or install the Software and runs until terminated. It terminates automatically and without notice if you breach it; you must then stop using the Software and delete all copies. Sections 5 and 6 survive termination. Audio you created beforehand remains yours.

We may amend this Agreement for future versions of the Software; the version published on this page when you download a given copy applies to that copy. The date at the top always names the current revision.

If a provision of this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its purpose. This Agreement is the entire agreement between you and aysound about the Software. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

This Agreement is governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you habitually reside are unaffected.
